Before we talk about Contest Review Lynk.my 2015, which I decided to participate (really?), let’s talk about Lynk.My first, shall we? Afterall, I only knew about this site recently while googling for something else. I got to give them credits for managing to persuade me (indirectly) to come out from semi-retirement and write for contest purposes. I thought I am already done with all those stuff. 

But, for Lynk.my, I’ll it give another shot!

URL shortner service is not something new. It has been around decades long and I had used many services ranging from free to paid service. But, this does not keep these guys at Lynk.My away from creating another site that offers such service and, why not? The demand is still there and if they can come up with a little bit of invention that offers better value in service, people will definitely use your service. Plus, humans are normally very curious about something new.

I bet many of us started using Facebook or WhatsApp out of curiousity rather than initiative, right?

Anyway, there’s little information about its owner, apart from they are Malaysians and trading under the name of Hexatology Network. To be honest bro, you guys need to improve on this and let people know more about you. The more you reveal about yourselves, the more trust you gain from your customers and the more they will use your services. My 5-cents. 😀

Like other URL shortner services, the main reason for you to use Lynk.My is to replace your ugly long URL to a shorther and cute ones. For example:

You will find it really useful if you are an avid Twitter user like me. Why? because Twitter, as many people know, limits the number of characters that you can type on your tweet.
