As I said in my comment at Denaihati’s blog, our government has been too nice to the cabbies. In spite of many public criticisms given toward, their attitudes haven’t changed much. They continue to live up (well, down, actually) to their reputation as “the worst taxi drivers in the world”. Maybe they are proud of such reputation I don’t know, but they are fast becoming an embarrassment to this country. Just check out what a visitor posted at Virtualtourist.com: “I have travelled the world and from Bombay to Boston I can tell you the taxi drivers in KL are the biggest pack of thieving lying dirt bags you will ever come across.” Another visitor then responded: “Agreed! They are notorious and globally infamous for fleecing customers!” Ouch, that hurts! However, I must say that I concur with their assessment. I have been in KL many times and been treated badly by them. OK, some of them are nice but mostly really rude and ‘cekik darah’!. (more…)

I always feel that PAS’s intention of implementing Hudud is way too over-ambitious. They are even freaking up many people prompting DAP’s stalwart, Karpal Singh to deliver that “over my dead body” statement. I’m not questioning whether or not we should implement Hudud. It’s out of the question now since PAS is unlikely to rule the country ALONE! If they go to Putra Jaya, they will have to go together with Karpal and his band of anti-Hudud, so there will be another round of that “over my dead body” crap and I can see the country going turmoil over some long undecided issue. But, PAS can do the country and more importantly Muslims in Malaysia a favour by concentrating on issues that are not beyond its reach. In some states, it is under their jurisdiction. (more…)
I must admit that I admire the design of Samsung’s smartphone and Galaxy Tab. I thought they are cool and more beautiful than Apple’s iPhone and iPhone. Hmmm…anyone beg to differ? I believe they are many that feel the same way too and I bet many Samsung fans in US are disappointed when a US court ruled that the Korean Tech Giant has infringed Apple’s patent right and therefore imposed a ban on sales in US market. On top of that, Samsung was ordered to pay a colossal amount of compensation to Apple. Of course, Samsung is going to fight back. Apart from filing the appeal, they also went offensive by filing a motion against Apple saying the iPhone 5 had infringed some of the company’s patents. Talk about modern day war! Well, we really got one now. (more…)
