Everybody loves a hero. Don’t you think so? From Superman, Batman, Optimus Prime, Captain America to Malaysia very own Cicak Man. Well, we are not going to talk about them today. We are talking about different kind of heroes- FOOTBALL HEROES. Yup, I’m referring to football geniuses that emerged at every major football tournament and lead their team to glory. Footballers like Pele, Diego Maradona, Zinedine Zidane, Marco Van Basten and Paolo Rossi. Great names that are forever remembered by football fans all over the world and hailed by their country as a national hero. Surely, many people love them too, right?

This year’s European Football Championship has produced many outstanding moments and several individual brilliants. Some of the goals and performances by the footballers here are simply world class and pleases many football fans. However, the top man for this year is surely Portugal’s striker and inspirational captain, Cristiano Ronaldo who almost single-handedly carried Portugal to the semi-final. If Portugal go on and win the tournament we can safely say that Ronaldo win it for Portugal. What an amazing achievement! The last time I remember someone referred to like that was way back in 1986 when Diego Maradona led Argentina to their second World Cup title. Could this be Ronaldo’s year? The way CR7 is performing right now, I bet not many are willing to go against him right now. Even if the mighty Spaniards is standing on his way.
