Next to Mee Bandung Muar, Mee Rebus is probably one of the most sought after food in the Royal Town of Bandar Maharani Muar. The less-than-two-minutes-to-prepare noodle (assuming the gravies are already prepared in advance), is normally eaten by the local folks early in the morning as breakfast together with sate Muar. Stroll along Jalan Abdullah to Jalan Sisi and Jalan Maharani and you’ll see quite a number of coffee shops selling Mee Rebus and sate and most of them are full especially before the office-hour starts.
Have a seat and enjoy one of the proud products of Muarians at just a fraction of the price of a Spaghetti.
Mee Rebus Muar Recipe
In truth preparing mee rebus is quite easy and ordinary folks like me and you should have no problem to cook your own mee rebus. Nonetheless, the secret to a good mee rebus lies on how you prepare the gravy since it is the key ingredient of this noodle. Therefore, you must make sure that all the things that you need to put inside the gravy such as the meat, sweet potatoes, dried shrimp, etc. are mixed perfectly and cooked accordingly.
Then, you’ll have an awesome homemade mee rebus Muar for you and your family.
Best Place To Get Mee Rebus Muar
My favourite has always been mee rebus Sapari family at Jalan Abdullah, not far from the police station. They used to sell mee rebus at Jalan Sisi buat now have moved to a new location at Jalan Abdullah. Great place to eat sate too. The place was jam packed when I came on the fourth day of Eid last month. Luckily, we managed to get a seat and enjoyed the delicious mee rebus.
I hope to hear comments from Muarians on this posting too. What’s your favourite place to eat mee rebus in Muar?
