Correct me if I’m wrong – but when somebody says to you “Congrats on your 50th birthday” the polite thing to say is “Thank you” ? Is it right to burden your friends (who are not best friends, nor relations) with your anger, dissatisfaction with your life, etc? Like these guys (see above screenshot).
Just imagine yourself saying ‘Happy 50th Birthday‘ to one of your facebook friends and he replies, “Thank you, but my house is so dilapidated, my family is bickering and fighting among themselves, blah-blah-blah” – would you wish them well again next year? Or do you think he is actually asking you to do something about his life – intervene, perhaps?
