Actually I have something else to write today but because of this strange occurrence I had to cancel my plans and publish this story instead. Well, I was supposed to be at the main library today and do research for my work plus blogging lah. But, my daughter persuaded me to go to Suria Sabah Library because she likes the Suria library better than the main one.
Since she has an exam coming up and is also preparing for a national level competition this month, I decided not to argue and hurt her feelings 😉 So, we went to Suria Library where she sat and studied till 4.30 pm.
Alas, my laptop battery was running low, so I had to go somewhere else to recharge the battery.
It took me quite some time to find a place to sit down and recharge my laptop battery. In fact I had to leave Suria Sabah because there were so many people there today. Even my favourite blogging spot, Starbucks, is fullhouse. Tension giler!
One thing I noticed was that there were more foreigners than the local folks inside Suria Sabah today. By foreigners, I mean ‘mat salleh‘ and ‘african people‘ la. Not Mat Indons or Filipinos ok. That one, we got so many here already. Some even got MyKad lagi.. 😀
I don’t know where they hail from. At first I thought they were tourists coming for Cuti-Cuti Sabah (ada ka?). Then I noticed that they were no elderly and children among them. Everyone was young. Even the women looked very tough. Then, I saw a few of this mat sallehs in Navy uniforms. Maybe they are the Navy. Afterall, the Navy port is not so far away from KK City. I guess today is their off-day and they are filling up the restaurants in Suria Sabah – KFC, Pizza Hut, Apple Donuts, etc. and I had no place to charge my laptop and blog!
So I decided to walk 1km from Suria Sabah and did my work here – Old Town White Coffee. Fuhhh… at least it is spared the invasion!
Welcome to Kota Kinabalu, dear guests – hope you’re enjoying your time here!
