I am old-school, I prefer writing than typing my daily journals. Same goes with my work planner or organiser. Therefore, I look forward to Starbucks planner every year. Now that November has arrived, Starbucks Malaysia has maintained its tradition and unveiled its 2023 Starbucks Organizer a.k.a. iPad sleeve/bag. What do I think of it?
Definition of Personal Organizer/Planner
According to Wikipedia:
A personal organizer, datebook, date log, daybook, day planner, personal analog assistant, book planner, year planner, or agenda (from Latin agenda – things to do), is a small book or binder that is designed to be portable. It usually contains a diary, calendar, address book, blank paper, and other sections.
My Take on Starbucks Malaysia 2023 Organizer
Today I had a chance to touch and unzip the Organizer. It’s definitely not a planner or work diary. The little book inside the Organizer is merely a blank notebook with the 2023 calendar on the first 2 pages or so. Since I don’t use an iPad nor a tablet, I am not in any rush to collect 400 reward stars to redeem the so-called Organizer. Especially not when there’s so many conditions attached.
In short, it’s underwhelming, sorry to say. With all due respect to the team, I am sure you all have thought and worked hard to come up with the Organizer, it’s just not for me. Can’t please everyone, right?
But I am sure, iPad and tablet users are thrilled.
Starbucks 2022 Planner
To be honest, I wanted to write about the 2022 Planner, unfortunately, I forgot. Too bad, because it was quite a good effort by the Berjaya Starbucks team. They deserved acknowledgment after so many previous bashings from us (or me, especially).
The terms and conditions were much better too, and simpler! You have the option of purchasing one after obtaining 300 stars. But I believe it’s also available for purchase at Shopee for less than RM150.
We managed to snag both editions – the white, silvery one.
And also the brown, faux leather one. Sorry the photos are not sharp enough to show the inside pages. Believe me when I say, it’s a stylish Planner that I don’t regret splurging on.
I gave both to my brothers as belated birthday presents, though I kept the pouches as my makeup bags. I didn’t keep the Planner for myself because I already bought a Mossery planner much earlier. History has proven that I couldn’t rely on getting a suitable planner from Starbucks Malaysia. Plus, I usually start planning for next year’s activities as early as October or November. So, adios!
Today, I am happy to report that, almost 1 year later, both the pouches have admirably withstood a couple of washes unscathed. And in spite of my rough and careless handling, I might add.
Kudos to the Berjaya Starbucks Team for last year’s 2022 Planner!
If you are curious to read our previous posts about Starbucks Planners/Organizers, here are some of them:
- This is when it started, our first Starbucks Planner, the 2013 Planner, redeemed in 2012;
- I managed to get the 2013 Planner but many others did not. Starbucks failed to replenish the Planners when they ran out of stock while the promo was still ongoing. So, we wrote a warning for ourselves, and others;

Additionally, in case you’re wondering, here is the 2023 Starbucks Philippines Planner:
Truly gorgeous, aren’t they? Look sooooo posh and worth collecting the stamps! Such brilliant colours and designs!
On another important note, as in the past and most probably will continue in the future, the Starbucks 2023 Organizers are now available at Shopee.
Less we forget, in less than 2 weeks, we shall be casting our votes again. May we all be able to cast our votes according to our conscience and for the good of our beloved nation.
