I have posted some of the pictures HERE, together with the story. So I think there will be no need for me to explain the pictures. I just feel that I should post it here as well since I’m sort of trying to rebrand this blog – making it more as promo blog for my beloved country Malaysia.
In case you haven’t been to Cameron Highlands before, it is located in Pahang and is considered as one of Malaysia’s most popular tourist destinations. It was discovered in 1885 by English surveyor William Cameron but the place lay unperturbed for 40 years, until British Administrator, Sir George Maxwell took charge of its development as a hill station.
Soon, hotels, schools, homes and even a golf course sprouted overnight, as British and locals settled in.
Today, Cameron Highlands is the leading highland resort destination in the country, supporting a local population close to 50,000 people spread over eight interconnecting areas. All are nestled at an altitude of more than 1,200 metres (3,900 ft). During the day, the temperature seldom rises above 25 °C (77 °F); at night, the temperature can sometimes drop to as low as −0.9 °C (30.4 °F).
The cool, crisp air and lush, green vegetation in Cameron Highlands makes it a popular highland getaway in Malaysia.
